About Allie
I’m Allie — intentionality advocate, INFJ, and design aficionado since 1985.
On the wall of my studio, I have three quotes:
Be truthful, gentle, and fearless. —Gandhi
There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle; the other is as though everything is a miracle. —Einstein
Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is. —Mary Anne Radmacher
These are the things I aspire to show, to do, to create. Over the last seven years, these guiding principles have been the driving force behind my business, as I transitioned Allie Creative from a side venture (while I worked in design for IT shops, newspapers, higher education institutions, insurance companies, and social networking companies) to my sole venture (where I can pour my heart into intentional creation, both for and with people who are making a difference), from a creative outlet to a crafted operation, from a source of extra spending money to a six-figure business.
I now live and work in Portland, Oregon — home of bikes, bridges, food carts, farmers markets, scarves, skinny jeans, and really, really good coffee. I have the privilege of working with people from all around the world — from fellow Portlanders to Australian artisans, from New York City philanthropists to Canadian life coaches.
I’m also a reader of books, a cooker of recipes, a lover of films, and a curator of all things thoughtful and lovely; an aspirant musician, sommelier, novelist, food critic, voiceover actress, and Anthropologie window display designer; a firm believer in the absolute necessity of kindness and gentleness and generosity and beauty.
I’m all about family. I have nine kinds of to-do list pads. I am completely in love with my rainy city. I lead a life richly blessed, a life overflowing with God’s grace and love. I hope to pass even a fraction of this grace and love along to others.
